Interview with Dorie Clark, author of “Stand Out”

I became a big fan of Dorie Clark having read several of her blog posts on the Harvard Business Review and websites. Dorie has written two books; ‘Reinventing you’ and the newly-released Stand Out.

We interviewed Dorie about her two books as part of our podcast series which is focused on interviewing people who we admire, and who have a message that is useful for coaches – experienced and training coaches. Many of the podcast interviews are relevant to business owners outside of coaching or leaders in organisations, but they always link to what we do at Coaching Success.

You can listen to the podcast interview here – it is 30 minutes in length.

Full of useful, practical steps you can take to:

  • Find and focus on your idea
  • Stand out and get recognised for what you do
  • Use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, webinars and speaking opportunities

You can find out more about Dorie and find lots of useful free resources at

Featuring vivid examples and drawing on interviews with Seth Godin, Robert Cialdini, Daniel Pink, David Allen, and other thought leaders, Dorie Clark explains how to identify the ideas that set you apart, promote them successfully, and build a community of followers.

Next month we have Graham Wilson author of “Leadership Laid Bare” who will share his insight and experience working with the world’s great leaders. His book is incredibly useful, interesting and practical, and shares a style of ‘no fluff’ with Dorie Clark – a style we have running through what we do at Coaching Success. This podcast will be most useful to anyone who leads or manages others, coaches who work with leaders and managers, and coaches involved in change management programmes. It contains many brilliant exercises and models that you can take away and use.
